EDITORIAL
Again Commencement season is at hand, a time to which some look forward, as the most interesting feature of the year, knowing that after the summer vacation they will return, while others do not for it means farewell to them and the beginning of a different life and to the most of them it will mean many hardships as well as success.
This Commencement will be long remembered for several reasons, because of the dedication of Shepard Hall, the triennial alumni year, the largest class that has ever been graduated from G. R. I., and because of the large number of G. R. I. students, who have gone into service for their country.
It is a great honor to our school to know that so many of our boys have gone and all have gone so willingly and that they still have the same spirit for success and victory that they had at G. R. I.
Many of these young men had finished their course here and had started out on their life’s journey, others went immediately after graduation, while some left in the middle of their course, sacrificing part of their education to fight for the star and stripes.
