CLEVELAND — Arthur D. Shahan, age 67, of Kingsville, Ohio, died Monday, May 31, 2010, at Metro Health Center in Cleveland as a result of a motorcycle accident.

He was born March 11, 1943, in Perry, Ohio, the son of Charles and Pearl (Ludwick) Shahan. He was a graduate of Madison High School and attended Lakeland Community College.

Arthur was employed for over 40 years with Millenium Inorganic Chemicals, until his retirement in 2006.

He is a former member of Orion Lodge # 353 F & AM. He enjoyed fixing up houses but what he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family and his eight grandchildren.

Surviving him is his wife, Brenda (Norris) Shahan, whom he married Nov. 16, 1970; three children, James (Stacie) Shahan of Ashtabula, Amy Jo Hasan of Champion, Ohio, and Heather (Joe) Johnson of Riverside, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Lindsey, Ali, Gabe, Bryce, Sulley, Brenna Jo and Ian; and seven brothers and sisters, Mildred, Dave, Alice, Mary, Maurice, Dorothy and Allan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters, Elaina, Alva, Jay and Dawn.

Funeral Service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, June 5th, with Tim Krause, of Church of Christ in Conneaut, officiating at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.

Calling Hours will be Saturday, June 5th, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
