McAdams and Nettleton families

There is a good page for Ruth Nettleton on the FamilySearch.org Family Tree with some sources that give pretty good evidence that Ruth's parents are Joshua and Harriet Nettleton.
One of the sources is the original marriage record that was indexed for our marriage list for 1833-1853.

Another is an 1840 land transfer
This 18 April 1840 deed transfers land for the sum of $100 from Joshua and Harriet Nettleton to Joseph McAdams and his heirs forever. This does not necessarily mean Joshua and Harriet are the parents but makes it seem possible.

Obituary of Daughter, Mary Jane McAdams Van Slyke
A clue that might be researched is that Ruth has a brother, George E. Nettleton, mentioned in her daughter's obituary.
